Multa de R$ 85 e 4 pontos começa a ser aplicada em 45 dias, diz governo. Regra vale para todos os veículos; antes, luz só era exigida de dia em túnel.

O presidente em exercício Michel Temer sancionou a lei que torna obrigatório rodar em estradas com o farol baixo aceso durante o dia. A mudança no Código Brasileiro de Trânsito (CTB) foi publicada no Diário Oficial da União desta terça-feira (24) e, segundo o Ministério das Cidades, começa a valer em 45 dias, em 8 de julho, que é o prazo para os cidadãos se adaptarem às novas regras.

Temer vetou o artigo que dizia que a medida entrava em vigor na data da publicação por considerar que “sempre que a norma possua grande repercussão, deverá ter sua vigência iniciada em prazo que permita sua divulgação e conhecimento”. O veto será submetido ao Congresso.

Até então, o uso de farol só era exigido para todos os veículos durante a noite e em túneis, independentemente do horário do dia. Para as motos, o uso das luzes já era obrigatório durante o dia e a noite.

De acordo com o Departamento Nacional de Trânsito (Denatran), a medida será válida para qualquer tipo de rodovia, incluindo as que passam por trechos urbanos e também em túneis com iluminação pública.

Multa e 4 pontos na CNH
O descumprimento será considerado infração média, com multa de R$ 85,13 e 4 pontos na carteira de habilitação. O valor subirá em novembro deste ano, assim como o de outras multas.

O projeto de lei foi proposto pelo deputado Rubens Bueno (PPS-PR), e relatado por José Medeiros (PSD-MT) no Senado. O parlamentar considerou que a imposição pode “aumentar” a segurança nas estradas.

“Trata-se da imposição de um procedimento bastante simples e de baixo custo que poderá aumentar a segurança nas estradas e assim contribuir para a redução da ocorrência de acidentes frontais nas rodovias e, consequentemente, salvar inúmeras vidas”, defendeu Medeiros.

Valor das multas subirá
Antes de ser afastada para o julgamento do impeachment, Dilma Rousseff sancionou, em abril, medidas que endurecem as punições para infrações de trânsito. O valor das multas subirá entre 52% e 66% em novembro deste ano.

Além disso, a punição para o motorista que for flagrado falando ou “manuseando” o telefone passará de média para gravíssima.

Infração leve – De R$ 53,20 para R$ 88,38 (aumento de 66%)
Infração média – De R$ 85,13 para R$ 130,16 (aumento de 52%)
Infração grave – De R$ 127,69 para R$ 195,23 (aumento de 52%)
Infração gravíssima – De R$ 191,54 para R$ 293,47 (aumento de 53%)
